WHO ARE THE SEA CADETS?

 

Sea Cadets are young Americans who choose adventure, seek challenges, and step outside of their comfort zones. Sponsored by the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard, they train on military installations in a variety of fields proving that Greatness Has No Age.

WHO CAN JOIN?

 

  • U.S. citizens or Permanent Legal Residents

  • Young men and women ages 10 through the completion of high school. ​

  • Be in good academic standing

WHAT will I get to do?

 

  • Participate in a local Unit Drill: typically meeting one weekend a month.

    • We have 400 units across the United States, and in Guam and Puerto Rico. 

  • Graduate Recruit Training or Orientation (bootcamp): a fast paced 7 - 14 day training focused on basic military instruction and team building.

  • Participate in International Exchange IEP

  • Attend Advanced training camps such as:
